Because School IS a Zoo at Times…
I know some of you have kids who are back at school already this week, but here in Portland, Oregon, we’ve still got a few more weeks of summer left. That means the mad dash for school gear and supplies! My son’s off to Kindergarten this year (waah! where did my baby go? ok, I’m ok now. really), and he already has a CARS backpack that he adores, but oh how I relish Skip Hop’s new line of Zoo Pack backpacks. They are colorful, modern, and not too cutesy. I’d love to get the dog for my daughter and the monkey for my son. There’s no harm in them having two backpacks each, right? A back-up backpack? For $20 each, it’s affordable and more hip than those character deals at the big box stores. Hmm…
Thanks for the recommendation! We’ve been searching for the appropriate backpack for our soon-to-be kindergartener (we can cry together in our coffee that first day of school!), and this is it! Not too big, but roomy enough to hold the requisite lunch box and a few books. My daugher chose the mouse (because it’s pink, of course) and hasn’t taken it off since we left the store. Success!
